Moena's 2013-2015 Quick Update~!

Hellooooooo!!!

It's been almost 2 years I haven't posted anything! My life had been up and down and I guess I had been too busy to blog. Looking at my last post, it was actually Fuwa Fuwa Time Maid Cafe's first year posting! 

I'm gonna post quite a number of photos because a picture tells more than a thousand words (｡◕‿◕｡)

- 2013 -

So there was a competition among the Maids during the 1st year of Fuwa Fuwa Maid Cafe.

And I made it to 1st Runner-up maid of 2013 together with Chiaki (2 Runner-up) and Aika (Champion)~!  

We took pictures with our special guest, The 501st Legion, Malaysia's Outpost - Star Wars Troopers!

After that I flew to Kuala Lumpur to attend Comic Fiesta with my sister and friends~! It was a very eventful trip! Trying to cut it short, the most memorable thing I remember at Comic Fiesta was meeting many people and one of them was Naneee? !

We often seen Naneee's lovely photos of cosplayers and now I'm so happy he help take a photo of my Momozono Nanami cosplay!

It was an eye opening experience for me to work with a professional at that time. I'm really into cosplay photography and I really admired his concentration as the took each photo and adjusted the lightning each time I changed position.

Then I also met Zhirong!

- 2014 - 

In 2014 I didn't even have time to update at all since I was flying here and there so much! 

To summarize:

I was Songstress Yuna next to Molly Eberwein. Aza Miyuko came as Kotori. The guy in the middle is her manager. Top right of him is my sis Becky! And there were many amazing cosplayers here in the midst! I'm happy to meet everyone!

It was a school theme for Otafuse 2014~ We all really enjoyed it!

In Dec, I went to Anime Festival Asia Singapore ( AFA SG 2014). It was awesome! 

 I manage to take a photo with: 

Yuegene, Kaname and Reika (as Yukari, Mikoto, & Reisi Munakata)!!!! I got their signatures too on my Angela's K album! *super happy to meet all 3 of them together*!!!

I met Danny Choo @ Culture Japan booth!

And I was also super lucky to meet H , Judy and Akatsuki Tsukasa cosplaying as Hinakawa, Akane and Shion from Psycho-pass! Their helper was so nice to allow me to take a picture with them <3  Sankyuu so much!

The remaining few days I also visited Universal Studio at Sentosa Island. It was great fun and I fell in love with Singapore!

After my SG trip, I flew back to KK for Hobbycon ~ Our Fuwa Fuwa Time Maid Cafe theme for 2014 was Wonderland Tea Party!

After that, the next week I flew to KL for Comic Fiesta!

Before CF, I had a photoshoot with Taka ^-^ He's a photographer who could take photos that tells a deep story. I am really glad we could get a long really well! He shot my Yaya cosplay beautifully~

At Comic Fiesta I manage to meet a few friends. Couldn't really do much because it was so crowded this year and wasn't able to watch my friends that went for competition. But here's the highlights for CF2014

Special Guests were King, Mon, Liui, and Aza!

Unfortunately I don't have much photos from this trip because I accidentally wiped of all my data from my phone. It got rolled back. The only pics were uploaded photos from my instagram (moena_riu) ^^;

- 2015 -

After coming back from CF, I manage to work together with Vencent, Videl & Buma to shoot my Stephanie Dola from No Game No Life ~

I really appreciate the chance to be able to work with Videl and Buma senpais~! Not to mention, Vencent who is a great photographer! (He also shot my Mirajane in 2013)

This year my house had been under renovations for more than 6 months! I couldn't believe it either. My mom got greedy, lol! It started from her room, to her toilet, to an electronic gate, to the whole front porch, to an extra living room, to my sis' room, my second sis' room and then to my room! Imagine having to live in the house when the renovations are in process! There's only 1-2 worker each time, that's why it's taking like forever! My costume making went on hold! D:

During the last renovation month I couldn't stand it anymore and moved out for a month with my friend Sharon. She is very caring and I am always very thankful I had her as a friend since 2004. Although we don't often meet, she's one of my friend I can really relax with (maybe because she scolds me a lot, like a mom!). She even prepare breakfast for me and braid my hair each morning before I go to classes when I'm there.

Up till now, I repeatedly wore my clothes each week because I still have 3 of my suitcase filled with clothes that I haven't unpack! #noshame :X  My room and study room system is kinda a mess now. I don't really know how to start! LOL! 

Even though I should be reorganizing my bedroom, but I think I would like to reorganize my living room first. Gonna try and set up my sewing corner as soon as I can since I want to start making costumes! I will be going to AFA SG this year again so I hope I'm able to bring a new simple costume. Hope to take more photos this time to redeem my last trip because my 2014 AFA and SG photos were wiped out due to hard disc breakdown on my Mac (￣(ｴ)￣) . And so, I got a new MSI gaming laptop! Thanks to Timmy, Edwin and Bahamut for choosing it for me~!

With this laptop, I got hooked to Final Fantasy 14 - A Realm Reborn.

This year I'm also slowly getting more interested in music. I now know how to appreciate nice talented musicians. I wish someone would play the piano or violin for me now, Really feel like listening to beautiful piano & violin music~  Year of #ShigatsuKimiNoUso
Plus I was also asked to MC and sing for small assembly. I'm still a newbie, can't get the rhythm and key correct (I was tone deaf when I'm young (●´⌓`●) . I hope to learn more because I know the head of my school would force me up on stage again  (*・〜・*) .

June - I went to SG again~ I went there to meet my French housemate from Oxford and to celebrate my birthday there~ <3

And I manage to go to Funan Anime Matsuri which I was really lucky to learn a lot of things from their workshops, especially one of my KL friend, Alex's! (I still remember his outward appearance didn't change much since 2010, very easy to spot him! lol~) He is now famously known as A.R.C. Photography and he has even shot for Aza Miyuko~ I was actually very happy to see him there! ^-^

There were also a lot of interesting people there. There were 2 Mirai Illustrators! DMYO sensei and Ikkyuu Sensei. For cosplay celebrities....there's Angie, Yingtze, Baozi&Hana, DD-Tenka, Fuyuu-Kaji, Neneko, Shimo. There's also Bless4 anisong artist there~

Plus there's no entrance ticket~ Just walk into the mall!

July - Had another Magi photoshoot~ Have to wait patiently for Edgar to produce pictures~

August - Flew to KL then travelled to CyberJaya for a week for RSC then rushed back for Synchronise Roadshow Cosplay competition with Becky~

I love this skit so much~ Becky and I were really into FFX when we were young~ We worked together to play the game and now I was so happy we could perform a FFX skit together! Thanks so much sista for insisting to join the competition!

Sept - OTAFUSE~! This year I didn't cosplay for Otafuse because I decided to give back to the event by helping out. I have been enjoying myself each year but this year it's time to work to allow others to enjoy~

I was approached to handle an important task - Taking care of guests! So yay~ I get to see Angie & YingTze again!

I am still in shock going to Karaoke with YingTze...because of her choice of songs! lol! (✽ ﾟдﾟ ✽)

I really enjoyed both of them very much~! They are very nice and positive people~ They can be really funny at times! YingTze even gave me a photo book as a souvenir for taking care of her! Arigatou <3 *treasure it*

Oh ya, this weekend there's Mini Hobbycon at Suria! Entrance is free! I hope you KK folks would come and visit! Fuwa Fuwa Maid Cafe will be making an appearance~! We'll be offering some cute & delicious meido snacks and selling some limited merchandise. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for reading my super long quick-update! I ended up writing 10 times more than I have intended *laughs*

I can't squeeze everything in but looking back help me record my histories, appreciate my life and count my blessings! I think God has been really good to me <3 He is amazing~! You all should get to know him too~ He gave me many eventful and happy memories till today and all He wants was for me to be happy~! 

Well, I hope to update more often in the future! For now I have to go get ready for tomorrow's Running Man event organised in my school!

Surprise Present

A parcel arrived today!!!!!

Medium sized parcel. Hmm... it's from my bf. He did say he wanted to send me something, plus I've requested him to send me some cartridges for my printer.

The smell was very strong once I opened the tape, ugh! What's that smell?

Oh shoot! Something spilled inside! Seems like my bf sent me a bottle of 'mou san you' ointment! Ah seems like only 3% was spilled, nothing serious but boy was the smell STRONG!!! 

Just because I said I don't have any the other day he immediately sent me one~! Aww so considerate~ ♡

However I was frantic at that moment! The ointment was all over in the pink package! That's supposed to be my birthday gift right?!?!? *wipe wipe wipe*

OOOhhhh.... 

Getting excited to unwrap the present! I wonder what's inside? Why so small? *Shake shake*... hmm, quite heavy... it must be chocolates!!!! :D~ 

(Yes, unfortunately I think of food most of the time XD)

 I did not expect this day to happen so fast! >///<  It's a sign that my bf is becoming more dependable and is showing me that he can take care of me. Just a year ago he was still a student but now he is working so hard each day and doing well in his career.

- My Birthday 2012 -

SATURDAY 

(16TH JUNE)

Early in the morning, my Pickles woke me up and surprised me with a birthday card~!

Aww... Little Miss Sunshine card~ 

She told me she's Little Miss Busy. She even showed me the clip on youtube about that character, lolz!  By the way, I call my sis Pickles and she calls me Mina-chan ^ ◡ ^

Birthday Breakfast! Nothing special but I enjoyed it :) There's some leftover sushi from the day before, peach, mango, scones, and chocolates!

Scones~~~These are really delicious! Pickles got it from somewhere that's really famous for it, I forgot the name already. It's nothing like the cheap supermarket ones that I'm so scared of XD

Actually today Pickles is supposed to bring me to Alton towers to play! It's a theme park nearby. But unfortunately, it rained T_T

So, during noon time I helped Pickles to clean her house. We also went Sainsbury's and Aldi to get  some ingredients for tomorrow. We even got lots of ice-creams! 

Later we went bowling with friends to make up for the Alton Tower...

By the way, I'm not a good bowler O_O" I think I'm going to embarrass myself >.<;

Ok, let's get the bowling game started~! Oh wait, what is this?

Next stop, dinner time at T.G.I. Friday~! Yipee~ This is my first time going to TGIF!

There were a lot of people that, perhaps it was a weekend? We were asked to wait 30 minutes which seem like an hour... We were given this while we wait, I'm so curious with this thing...

Beeper?

I got bored of the beeper and then set my eyes on this! Wowzers! It's a Harley Davidson! They use it as a decor? OMG

 After I got bored of the bike, I ran around looking at the interior design. The decorations were amazing! I had to take pictures of them!

 I ordered an OREO Milkshake! It was so delicious!

By the way, I took a photo of everyone's dish except mine! I forgot to take a picture of my super rib dish!!! D: Obviously I'm in a hurry to dig in! It was really a superb dinner! 

After we finished our meal, something happened.... Suddenly it was all a blur! I remembered something like one of the staff came up to me and asked me to stand up on the chair! O_O" In my head I was like 'Did I do something wrong? Why are you punishing me?' 

Turns out, the waiters at TGIF wanted to sing their special birthday song to me! And I was presented with the birthday cake! Although I was really embarrassed... I was really touched~ 

The service at TGIF is really good, the waiters are really polite and considerate. They still pay lots of attention to you even though the whole place was quite crowded!

What a wonderful celebration~!

BBQ time~!

My relatives came to celebrate my birthday with me at my sis' place. BBQ is really fun! Except it rained occasionally so we kept running in and out the house, lolz!

We did team up for Mario on Wii to exercise our fingers! LOLZ!

After my relatives and friends left, Pickles and I played Mario until midnight... It was so much fun! Then we chatted about games on the bed before we sleep... We reminiscent our young gaming times - we talked about Diablo I, II, and I told her how I was so sad I couldn't play III with my current laptop. She even remembered I was so fond of Icewind dale! Eventually the disc got faulty and I never finished the game, I kept re-playing it until it reaches the faulty part. Aww I miss that game now! I still remember I named those characters Xena, Gabriel, and Hercules! It's a game that plays with six characters which gets too confusing and the characters will run by themselves and get killed sometimes =.=

Thanks to my lovely sis who organised and planned everything for me to have a great birthday weekend!
