Lucy X Loke - Love Makes Spirits Stronger

I kinda feel guilty for being so excited to post a new post about my fairy tail dream and not about my recent fairy tail photoshoot, ops! So here it is~

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
 Love Makes Spirits Stronger
Lucy Heartfilia and the Leader of the 12 Golden Zodiac Keys Loke

Anime:
Fairy Tail

Cast:
Lucy Heartfilia by Moena (me!)
Loke (Leo the Lion) by Loke Unilion Leo (ロキザカド)
Plue/Nikola by my handmade plushie Plue XD

Photographed by:
Coloureddoodles

I really love this shot a lot! >v<

Lucy Heartfilia is a Celestial Spirit Mage. She's in the Fairy Tail Guild and she is very kind towards Celestial Spirits and sometimes even to her enemies or rivals which is why I love her so much. She treats her Celestial Spirits just like friends instead of addressing them as the owner.

In the anime, Loke is a Celestial Spirit disguised as a human as he is trapped in the human world. He joined the Fairy Tail Guild and is kinda flirtatious towards women. However, his affection is now directed towards Lucy when she managed to save his life by convincing the Celestial Spirit King to allow Loke to go back to the Celestial Spirit World. At that point, Loke was about to disappear since he is almost out of spirit energy to remain on earth land. Not being able to go back to the Celestial Spirit World means that he will just disappear into thin air. The Celestial Spirit King was impressed by Lucy's determination to save Loke so he removed the ban. In exchange, Loke must atone for his sins by protecting and serving Lucy, which then, his key materialized and Loke handed it to Lucy gratefully.

Loke and I planned this shoot after the Animax Carnival in March 2013. We met there and liked each other's cosplay immediately! Loke became a really nice close friend of mine on the spot! We finally did the shoot in June 2013 when I could finally fly to KL for my holidays. Esther, who is Loke's best friend is our photographer of the day! Our first suggested location was at 1 Utama but then we got our favorite shot after playing the Dance Evolution Machine as well as after having our dinner at Tenshi no Cafe at e@Curve, hahaha! Thanks to the lovely supportive meidos who allowed us to shoot there~!

Thank you for being my amazing cheesy Loke dear Loke and thanks for the lovely shot dear Esther~

Miss hanging out with you girls already~! Hope to see you girls in December when I will be flying to KL again!

Back In The Land Below The Wind

I'm back in KK now~! Yahhoo!

Now I can start working on more cosplans!

I've finished my conquest in England and shall continue to adventure with some fairies here, hehe...

Recently I was so busy I forgot to update my blog a bit so here's what I did - I made it back in time for one vocaloid group photoshoot and KK Cosplay Club invitation to UMS (few previous posts). I was still busy with long distance homework at that time so I'm not allowed to announce officially that I'm back :X

Then there's the GAME ON night at Pan Pacific Sutera where a group of us were paid and treated like 'Artis' (that's what the title on my table says) to keep those people excited throughout the night. We were also pampered with 5-stars hotel dinner and  pen drive freebies for coming. WAW!

And there's the UMS Cultural Night which I had missed where both times I was 16+ hours away by flight! This time I get to go and enjoy it. UMS Cultural Night with Bon Odori brings so much of 'Nihon' feel to our beloved city. It was really fun! I'm so happy I finally get to watch KKB88 Hakumei Dance LIVE!

And because I'm the missing lazy member who's not around to contribute for more than a year... I happily volunteered myself to record it there for them ^^"

- - - - - - -

Next, HOBBYCON!

You see, and I had squeezed enough free time to prepare 2 sets of cosplays (although I still procrastinated a lot, like usual XD ).

This time I'm really happy with my sewing speed. My sewing machine must have missed me lots so it didn't jam that much to show her love for my return! Aww~!

AND SO, I managed to bring 2 versions of Lucy to Hobbycon this year! >v<

DAY 1:

This is my favourite Lucy outfit! It's so cute and sweet at the same time <3

DAY 2:

Photo credites to Joan Tseu
Special thanks to Vironica for borrowing me her Nikola!

I wore this for Day 2 because me and my sis managed to form a Fairy Tail group last minute and this version fits the overall group better.

Here's two really nice videos from Hobbycon 2012 if you would like to get a feel of ACG event in Sabah :

Try to spot me! >v<

Video made by Jack

I'm really happy to see all my awesome cosplayer friends that I missed so much! They are so good in what they do now. There's even more cool props maker in KK now~! Especially my own sis who leveled up so much! Ho ho.... I saw part of how she managed to put her Erza Heaven's Will Armour together! It's really amazing!

Our community had really grown a lot since the first time I started cosplaying. It's so fun to see everyone grow ^-^

- - - - -

I also did a photoshoot with Richard for his promotional materials. This time I dressed up as Lenne (FFX-2) together with Becky as Yuna (FFX-2), Leon Carbine and Rei Robin. It was good to be able to work with such a passionate photographer with so much experience and I learned so much from him! Thank you!

Here's some future updates:

I'll be going to KL next week for Animax Carnival 2013! Looking forward to see May'N 's performance and to meet my friends from Semenanjung! Hope some of them didn't run off to AFA in SG on the same date >.< If you're there, please cheer for me too since I'm really nervous for the competition.

And one more update, catch me at IPEX, this end of March at Sabah Trade Centre. I'll be cosing in the morning session from 10am - 2pm. Looking forward to put some smiles in the faces of those kids who would be there for the colouring contest~!

That's the gist of it... phew, this was a bit long - my fault for not updating more often, eheh.

- - - - -

P.S. Pray for Peace in Sabah as we are currently facing some terrorist attack where some schools are closed and a lot of policemen had died.

Take care minna, stay safe!!!!

My Birthday Gift ~ Cosplay Gen#05

Yohoo!!!

Owkay, I know I'm not supposed to be here (with my homework pile at the corner) BUT!

I'm too happy and over the moon~!!!!

Well, I was feeling a bit sad while leaving Birmingham to come back to my new place in Oxford (still needs so much unpacking and cleaning to do). It feels so homey in Birmingham with my sis that I felt so lonely and sad to return to Oxford.... I didn't know if I have the strength to work hard in my tough study here and to live alone all by myself. And so yesterday night and this morning I prayed earnestly for happy days and strength to face another day.

And look what arrived at the post when I went back to check on my old place! Prayers answered!

My hands were shaking!  This is not supposed to arrive at my old address! Way back in April I've already asked them to send it to Birmingham since I knew that I will be moving in June. In my head I was thinking, 'what if I didn't go back to my old place to check the post?' 'Did this happened by coincidence to cheer me up?' But I want to think it was God's plan!

Super happy!!!! My very own copy of Cosplay Gen #05

This was my first time buying a book so expensive that is not study related. I have this weird logic that spending RM300 on study material or reference book is OK but spending >RM10 on a magazine is a foolish waste of money even though it's for myself =.=" My stupid logic had also forbid me to buy lots of things that I really wanted but don't really need like figurines T.T So, I had to make an excuse to buy it, for my birthday! Hah! Debating with the voice from inside... gosh how annoying!

It came with free stickers!

Saw some familiar names inside! Hexlord won the photography contest with a photo on Lucy (cosplayed by Byou) taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

And Shiro Ang's photography advice. His photos always bombard my FB homepage coz it's so amazing!

Next time then only I will blog about how I spend my birthday... Since my happy mood is back, I have to get some things done or else I will feel guilty to my inner conscience! LOLZ!

Oh ya, before I go away, I've been wanting to express my joy and gratitude to all my family, friends, or just people who only know me by name in the virtual world but has made a difference to my birthday this year by sending me a simple birthday wish! All of them count and mattered to me! Thank you all!!!!

~ Have a nice day minna ~

xoxo

MCM EXPO London 2012

It's time for MCM EXPO London~ May 26-27, 2012. Hordes of people had gathered at ExCel London because of their love for anime, games, manga, cosplays, and most importantly, FUN!

I was a bit late with the post ^^"

The journey to ExCel was a bit long from Victoria Station, where I usually stop whenever I take the coach to London. My journey was 3 hours long. It was so amazing as I boarded the tube to get there and at the platform when I'm supposed to change to DLR. There it is! Expo fans in costumes, cute accessories and some with neko mimi can be spotted! I was so excited!

On the way walking to the Expo, I saw some an Avenger cosplay group near the entrance! Lucky! I manage to get a shot of them:

The weather was so hot! It's summer now I guess, kinda good for me since my costume was thin. But I still feel very hot because my wig was so thick and long.

I specifically choose a simple cosplay for events around here, easier to wear and bring around. I came up with another Orihime outfit ^-^ This time it's the outfit from Bleach Opening 10: Shojo S by Scandal, an outfit which my friend suggested many years ago since the episode with this song just aired.

I got in line to get my tickets and it took me about 45 minutes! I spend my time there in the queue admiring other cosplayers' costumes as well as pose for some orihime lovers, lolz!

The long queue

After coming out from the ticket selling area, I was out around searching for my friend when Orihime bumped into herself! XD This is Mariana in Orihime's arrancar uniform. She is so creative in making this costume she only did it in a very short time!
We had the same hairpins! >v<

When I went into the exhibition area, this is the first thing I see... *eyes wide open*

YAOI stuffs for sale.
No no! Don't get me wrong, I'm not into this kind of stuffs! :X

Finally I found Tidie~! She's cosplaying as Chibi Igirisu-chan from Hetalia~ It's her first time trying to sew her own costume. She even cut the hair herself! So happy to be able to see her grow in cosplaying.. eh? wat am I talking about? I sound like an old aunty! XD
Eh? Our pose looks so familiar :P

Her character is Chibi Igirisu (England) from Hetalia. She is so fond of men in uniforms, ahaha!

Yuffie and... Reno!!! ♥
Now now, it's not because of the uniform, it's because of the red hair XD

Selphie and Rikku

A very sweet Tifa~

Gippal and Rikku in mage outfit?

Gigantic Pikachu!

A really pretty Blue Rose from Tiger and Bunny~!

Ace from One Piece.

And later I met his little brother, Luffy!

I also met a celebrity there! It's Soul King!!!!! He even have the heart shape specs! Aww~ In case you were wondering who's Soul King, he's actually Brook from One Piece, yohohohoho!

Erza, Lucy, and Cana from Fairytail.

Johnny Depp! Ops, wait I mean Jack Sparrow, tee hee...

Loki and Thor, gender bender :3
The girl in pink has a mask that looks like Nanika from HXH.

Met Homura in the toilet.

Neytiri from Avatar.

Cloud in Kingdom Hearts version.

Beautiful Belle.

Kaoru and Hikaru

Honey-senpai and Mori-senpai~! Honey senpai actually gave me a white rose after I ask him for a picture...

Aww... Honey-senpai, so cute of her him ♥♥♥

By the way, this is my cosplay~ I forgot to take a proper picture at the event with my own camera ^^;

The cosplay Masquerade competition was really long. There's a huge line of cosplays and they're so amazing! What I love about this event is that there's a cosplay area with changing rooms and fixing booth where people can get their costumes fixed if there's any problems. Even though I didn't really use it but I find it really helpful for cosplayers with costumes going wrong and I know how that feel.  There's also various performances or shows at different stage so you wouldn't get bored. There's so many cute things and anime related stuffs for sale. I really wanted that Boa Hancock mouse pad but I was too shy to get it. There were also a lot Avengers cosplays since the movie just came out. I also liked those gender bender cosplays where they showcased their awesome creativity!

I really had an eye opening day at MCM Expo London. It was really great being able to see Tidie again and go see all the beautiful and amazing costumes made by dedicated fans. There are more pics at my Facebook album, especially those stage shots with cool armours and weapons, but they're a bit blurry. Feel free to tag yourself or your friends if you recognise them~!

I think probably this is my last expo in UK, but I really hope not! Hopefully I will change my mind but for now I need to concentrate on my studies and other things. Plus I don't really have any costumes ready anymore, eheh! ^^" You see, most of my wigs are shipped back to KK so that I don't have to worry about having too many things to carry after my studies. And I wanted to stick to my cosplay plans but that's the problem, the fabrics that I bought are also in KK >.< Oh well~ I'll just have to resist!!!!

I'm really sad that I can't go to AFA Malaysia D: Kaname was spotted with red hair!!!! :X Tasha and Miyuko from spcats where there as well, not to mention, lovely Ki-chan was the meido at MMK!!!! I really want to see her! >v<

Hope you guys in Malaysia are having fun~! I'm stalking photos of Kyan!me and AFA Malaysia now (-^∀°-) Wish I could be there with my friends! Miss them a lots!

Take care minna~!

Neliel Tu Oderschvank - Bleach Cosplay

Former Espada No.3 - Neliel Tu Oderschvank is my all time favourite character in Bleach! However, I have no idea why they want to write her out of Bleach so fast >.<

Here's my Nel in January 2012

I was very a bit fat compared to my Nel in Hobbycon 2010, ehehe... I blame all the delicious holiday season food XD

Finally I had the mood to sort some of my files. This shot was from my camera by Grace, yes I love my little sony and my cousin! ^_^
Anyways there are even more awesome shots taken by Christine Lee, Mien and the others but I was in a hurry to get back to UK so I didn't manage to get the full resolution photos. I'll add them here when I can.

I was a bit picky in choosing the photos for Nel because she gives me this kakkoii feeling yet mischievous when she's not serious. It was a big challenge for me to do her expression and I spoiled most of the pics with my silly face ^^"

When this cosplay first debuted in hobbycon 2010, I was not really satisfied because I did not finish the costume :X

*Flashback to 2010*
(Ahh,..the good old memories of H-laws)

For this 2012 shoot, I adjusted the costume slightly, added the collar, sew some parts and reduced some fabric *kofkof* so that it's more accurate to the anime version. Previously I kept the skirt long due to not wanting to flash my pantsu around the shopping mall <.< '

Thanks to my sis Becky for arranging the photoshoot, helping me to draw the '3' tattoo and helping me pin my top part when the zip broke while I was trying to wear it, fatness overload T.T

See you again minna~!

じゃ、またね~!

Orihime in Casual Cosplay - Bleach

Since it was snowing, I decided that night to do a photoshoot with the snow the next day. Well, I didn't really have any costumes with me yet, and I only had an orange wig. So, I dig deep into my closet and pulled out my leather jacket, something that reminds me of this version of Orihime.

This was an illustration from bleach manga, chapter 162.

I turned a zara paper bag inside out and then cut some holes on it.

I made some ribbons out of gift papers and tape it with cello-tape so that it doesn't break that easily. As for the hair-clips, I bought it a few years back.

TaDa
 >v<

I love this character a lot! Finally get to bring her out! <3

The outdoor photos are still with my photographer, will get it probably next week or so :)

I hope to do more Orihime cosplays next time~! In different outfits!

Thanks for viewing! C'ya next time!
